For a generation of gay men who learned how to have sex by watching porn, Chuck Holmes was their teacher—whether they knew it or not. The business whiz behind highly influential Falcon Studios, Holmes' sexual fantasies were those that flickered across America's TV screens. Holmes drew no line between classy and dirty, showcasing wholesome young men engaged in piggy sex. Gay men gobbled it up, making Holmes so rich he dropped $100 tips and made politicians squirm when he offered his porn profits to their causes.
This sexy documentary playfully uses dialogue and non-explicit clips from classic Falcon titles to illustrate the highs and lows of Holmes' career, and includes his resistance to condom use even after the AIDS crisis hit. Appearances by porn legends will answer a bevy of "whatever happened to...?" questions.
Holmes helped shaped and create gay identity in the years after Stonewall, and became a founder of gay rights advocacy groups like the Human Rights Campaign and the LGBT Victory FundÉonly to find later in life that while his philanthropic money was welcome, he wasn't.
Appearances by John Waters, Jeff Stryker, Chi-Chi La Rue, Holly Woodlawn, Jake Shears, Zak Spears and John Rutherford
